Spring 2026 Private Lessons (9 - Adult)

Private lessons allow us to cater the hour around your goals or needs.

We recommend groups lessons for most kids, as it is generally more cost effective and more enjoyable for the player, but there may be situations where a private lesson is preferred or the better choice. Children 8 and under though would typically not go for an hour though, so contact David Sheaffer, directly if you are looking for private lessons in those situations.

If you are signing up for these lessons, understand you are signing up for specific times and day. These times may not be able to be rescheduled if you cannot attend, so please be aware of that if you sign up. We will work to find a mutually agreeable time to make up lessons affected by inclement weather.

Most private lessons are scheduled with James Howell, Topspin's Director of Tennis.

Spring 2026 Team Tennis 6-10 yrs

Make it more fun with matches.

Team Tennis is intended to be used in conjunction with players attending clinics as well. Players are required to attend at least one weekly clinic.

Spring Match Dates...April 15, 24, May 1, 8, 15, (Rain make up will be Friday May 30.)

Team tennis is a co-ed kid friendly format in our academy, allowing players to develop both technique and match skills from an early age.

Matches vary in format, allowing players to compete with the skills they are learning from the very start and to compete as beginners. The team format creates a fun, bonding, competitive atmosphere that will encourage good sportsmanship and reduce individual pressure.

Team tennis participants receive special gear. We have done different things T-shirts, wristbands, bags, hats, in previous seasons, but there is always something cool.

Participants are required to attend one or more Kid's Clinics during the week, in order to participate in Team Tennis.

ALL MATCHES are played on Fridays at 6 - 7:30p, unless adjustments need to be made for weather. Matches will be held at our Meadowbrook location.

Court Size and Ball Types are designed to aid in the learning process and make matches more competitive.

2026 Spring Adult Clinics 18+

Designed for adults to drill and exercise in a fun, low pressure, and competitive environment. All Adult Clinics are being played on the grounds of our Academy.

Rate differences reflect changes in number of clinics or length of clinic.

Beginner clinics are more instructional based to give players a firm foundation to build from.

Advanced Beginner clinics incorporate more competitive based drills to incorporate techniques into match situations.

Intermediate and Advanced clinics are more drill based. While we work to improve players the focus is more live ball, high energy drills, creating a fun competitive environment that will also give players a good workout.

Varying Abilities: Beginner = Beg, Advanced Beginner = AB, Intermediate = Int, and Advanced = Adv

The numbers in parenthesis in clinic descriptions correlate to the USTA League levels for those familiar. If you are not sure what clinic level you should participate in please contact us to assist you.

2026 Spring Varsity Bound Clinics, Ages 11 - 18

Designed for ages 11–18-who are or are interested in playing Middle School, High School, tournaments and beyond.

Prepare in a high paced, fun, competitive environment looking to improve stroke development, match play, tactics, and focus. If players are looking for a more intense program they should consider our High Intensity Tennis (HIT) Training.

Most Weekday Clinics are scheduled for 11-12 sessions starting the weeks of March 16 and wrapping up the week ending June 5. (last day).
The sessions will run over an 12-week period, with makeups scheduled the week of June 8, 9,, 10, 11, 12.
There are no Clinics on Memorial Day Weekend, 5/24 - 26.
Clinic rates are consistent. Any change in price is due to the length or number of sessions a particular clinic has.

Makeups for Weather, Site Conflicts, Etc.
Makeups will occur the week of June 8 - 12. Topspin will not hold makeups for the first cancelation of clinics. If cancelations need to occur more than once, we will makeup subsequent rain outs. If we are unable to hold makeups due to instructor illnesses, unexpected site conflicts, etc., participants will receive a credit for future programs.

Personal Conflicts
Absences for illness or other personal conflicts are not able to be made up, we apologize for any inconvenience this causes. With over 300 participants in Topspin programming accommodating those situations is simply not feasible. We appreciate your understanding.

Varsity Bound Programming is split into 4 levels, not driven by age as much as ability. Just because your player did a L1 clinic does not mean L2 is the next clinic for them. Many players may not rise above a clinic in a subsequent session. Please see Varsity Bound information for more complete descriptions.
L1 - Beginner / Advanced Beginner
L2 - Intermediate
L3 - Advanced (likely a starting Varsity Player in HS, or top Middle School player, may be playing tournaments)
L4 - Elite (likely a Tournament Player, likely higher level HS Varsity Player)

While previous experience or assessment is not required for L1 Clinics it is necessary for placement in other clinics. If you have a question about placing your player please contact, David Sheaffer at 215-906-0407.

2026 Spring High Intensity Training (HIT), Ages 11-18

Topspin Tennis Academy - High Intensity Training (HIT Squad). (Ages 11 - 18)

Topspin Tennis Academy has program for players in our Varsity Bound age group. Our HIT Squad is a more intensive, focused, and driven group.

If you know tennis is "your" sport and you want to really wok on and elevate your game, this is the program for you.

What are the attributes we want these players to exhibit? Purposeful, Adaptable, Teachable, and Honorable. We want you to come with Positive Attitude, be Tenacious, and Humble

While ability will be a component for participating in this program, attitude matters more. It is not enough to enjoy the sport. Players must embrace the work it takes to elevate their game and be willing to look toward long-term success.

Playing with the HIT Squad will have 3 major components. Cost for all three components for the Spring Session will be $975. (This is less than current rates for each of these components individually.)
  1. Training - Training will be a combination of on court, cardio, strength, agility, flexibility, and mental. Generally, once a week, but we will try to work with players that would like to do it twice a week, likely on Mon & Thu 5:45 - 7:25p. (Our goal will be run 11 training sessions over 12 weeks.) Training will end 6/5
  2. Lessons - We will combine training with lessons once a week, generally Fridays. Lesson rates assume semi-private lessons but will try and work with participants that would prefer to have private ones. (Our goal will be run 10 lessons over 11 weeks.) Lessons will end 5/30.
  3. Match Play - We will incorporate what we are learning in training and lessons into matches once a week. We will also work with families to encourage them to participate in USTA tournaments at least once a season. (Our goal will be run 9 Sundays Afternoons over 11 weeks. There will be no session on 4/20 Easter. We will meet on 5/11 Mother's Day if we have other dates that have been rained out.) Match Play will end 6/1

We will hold makeups the week of 6/9 if necessary for cancelations.

Many participants have conflicts with School teams in the Spring for boys, and in the Fall for girts. Schedules vary greatly between high school and middle schools and district to district. We hope and encourage all of our players to be playing for their schools. We will work with players that are looking to play with the HIT Squad that is also playing for their school. In those cases, players will participate in weekly lessons, be encouraged to participate in weekend match play, and have the option to participate or drop in on the weekly training. All players will be expected to rejoin the program in its entirety and the conclusion of their season. We will prorate costs appropriately.

2026 Spring Kid's Clinics, Ages 4 - 12

Unless noted, Kid's Clinics will be held at Topspin Tennis Academy's, Meadowbrook School location. Topspin is one of the only, if not the only, club in the region with 2 courts specifically designed for Kid's 8 and under tennis. This provides a great learning atmosphere for younger children. Our regulation courts also have lines for 60' play geared directly to players ages 9 & 10.

Most Weekday Clinics are scheduled for 11-12 sessions starting the weeks of March 16 and wrapping up the week ending June 4. (last day).
The sessions will run over an 12-week period, with makeups scheduled the week of June 8th.

Tournament Week
May 25- 28 - Tournament Week. Spring Session registrations include a fun season ending round robin tournament for ages 6 and up. Tournament week may have your child participating at times outside of their regularly scheduled times. Participation is not required but highly encouraged, and Topspin will provide exact tournament times as it draws nearer, likely 1 - 2 weeks prior to the event.

Prize Week
June 1 - 4 - Prize Week. Our last week of clinics will be prize week generally at the regularly scheduled clinic times. Players won't want to miss it.

Makeups for Weather, Site Conflicts, Etc.
Makeups will occur the week of June 8 - 12. Topspin will not hold makeups for the first cancelation of clinics. If cancelations need to occur more than once, we will makeup those cancelations.
